Hernando De Soto, MD
Associate Professor and Director, Pediatric Anesthesia, University of Florida, Jacksonville
Chief, Anesthesia Services, Florida Proton Therapy Institute
Hernando De Soto is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia at UF Health Jacksonville, and Chair of Anesthesia Services at the UF Proton Radiation Services, Jacksonville, Florida.
He is the author of many publications and has given multiple presentations in the topic of pediatric anesthesia and other topics. De Soto completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. After his residency he completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Children’s Hospital National Medical Center in Washington D.C.
Jane Long, EdD, CPC, DASSM
Dr. Jane Long is a Crucial Conversations certified facilitator, a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), and an experienced leadership and wellness book facilitator and trainer. She currently serves as the Director of Learning/Training, Development and Coaching with the American Dental Association (ADA). She provides professional development opportunities to 400+ staff members. Previously, she led professional development with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for more than 17 years.
Prior to her work with nonprofits, Dr. Long spent 18 years in higher education as both a faculty member and high-level administrator. She has presented over 100 interactive education sessions at national, state, and local conferences and taught online and on campus for several colleges and universities across the country.
