Gurinder Singh Gill is the Director and Chief of Cardiovascular Perfusion at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, Ontario, and a Professor at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.

He is an experienced clinical perfusionist with extensive practice in both adult and pediatric cardiac surgery and has held progressive leadership roles across major Canadian and U.S. cardiac centers, including the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

Gill trained in cardiovascular perfusion at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the Montreal Heart Institute, with earlier clinical experience in respiratory therapy and anesthesia technology. He holds advanced degrees in business and veterinary science and is currently completing a Doctor of Business Administration focused on health-care policy and system improvement. His career includes significant contributions to perfusion education, clinical program development, research ethics, and health-care management.

Kelsey Navin is a pediatric cardiovascular perfusionist at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she is involved in extensive animal lab research and ongoing education programs within the hospital. With over seven years of experience in perfusion, she has worked with both adults and pediatrics involving work with VADs, ECMO, and extensive neonatal procedures. At NAFA VCU’s 45th Annual Meeting, Kelsey will share insights on Partial Heart Transplants in the Pediatric Population and an Overview of Pulmonary Artery Flow Studies. Kelsey is passionate about progress in all forms of pediatric heart transplantation and animal lab research. In her free time, Kelsey loves weightlifting, yoga, reading and exploring new restaurants.

Mills has been a practicing perfusionist since 2017. She completed her perfusion training at the Shadyside School of Perfusion in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, Rachel began her career at the University of Virginia, where she developed a strong clinical foundation and gained valuable experience. Rachel eventually returned to her hometown and now practices at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke. She is passionate about patient care and advancing the field of perfusion through collaboration and continued learning. Outside of the operating room, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and their two dogs.
