Concluded Programming

Program Overview

This workshop introduces gastric ultrasound (POC_US) technique and interpretation through didactic/case presentations and hands-on practice.

Gastric ultrasound is not just a reliable and validated tool, but an asset for practicing CRNAs. It is particularly useful in cases of unconfirmed fasting history, delayed gastric emptying due to GLP-1 agonist use, diabetic gastroparesis, and other conditions. This skill will empower attendees to objectively visualize gastric contents, enabling them to make informed decisions for appropriate risk stratification in anesthesia care.
