Program Overview
Trusted for 50 years, NAFA VCU is the continuing education division of VCU Nurse Anesthesia, which houses one of the nation’s top-ranked programs for the nurse anesthesiology specialty and now offers a Master of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion program.
Our conference includes up to 26 MAC Ed Credits (formerly Class A CE) with our signature NAFA programming.
We offer diverse and clinically-relevant content delivered by outstanding speakers and opportunities to earn the first CRNA microcredentials in the nurse anesthesiology specialty.
We schedule the lecture program to start and end early, giving you the content you need and plenty of time to enjoy the resort and parks.
Note: The livestream program is 21 MAC Ed Credits. The in-person 5 CE pre-conference workshop may be added for an additional fee. The final program is subject to change.

Drawing on principles from Crucial Conversations® and Crucial Influence®, this interactive workshop explores strategies for addressing concerns, influencing decisions, and strengthening teamwork to improve patient outcomes. Through discussion and case-based examples, you will learn practical approaches to enhance communication, accountability, decision-making, and team effectiveness across the healthcare continuum.

Earn your CE via an online learning assessment and program evaluation. The format is a self-assessment of your learning and an opportunity to give feedback.
Cancellation & Refund Policies
You may cancel your registration up until October 15, 2027 to receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. After that date, no refunds will be given. Cancellations must be received via email at NAFA@vcu.edu.
In the unlikely case that an event is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, the NAFA will fully refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including change or cancellation charges, to include but not limited to airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
