Influencing Outcomes: Communication and Collaboration in High-Stakes Patient Care - 5 CE

CRNAs and cardiovascular perfusionists practice in complex, high-stakes environments where communication and collaboration are as critical as clinical expertise. Drawing on principles from Crucial Conversations® and Crucial Influence®, this interactive workshop explores strategies for addressing concerns, influencing decisions, and strengthening teamwork to improve patient outcomes. Through discussion and case-based examples, you will learn practical approaches to enhance communication, accountability, decision-making, and team effectiveness across the healthcare continuum.

Objectives:

  1. Describe the impact of communication and collaboration on patient safety, team performance, and clinical outcomes.
  2. Recognize opportunities to effectively influence decisions and advocate for positive change in clinical practice.
  3. Apply principles from Crucial Conversations® and Crucial Influence® to challenging professional situations.
